Recount: My Favourite Restaurant

Introduction
I went to a restaurant at Mission Bay in the morning. We were spending time as a family Me,My Mum, My Dad, Eatefan and Giovanna went.

Paragraph 1
In the morning I was trying to sleep in but then Giovanna my sister said that we had to get up. I asked her, “why do we need to get up?” She said, “ you have to get changed so we can go to the restaurant.” I was so happy so I got up and got changed then did my hair. Then when everyone got in the car my dad started driving to Mission Bay. We went to a restaurant that was all blue. It was nearby Move in pick, which is an ice cream shop. I sat near the window and the waiter gave us our menus. I felt like a burger I was looking at the aioli burger it came with fries. I also got an ice chocolate.

Paragraph 2
When my parents finished ordering we told the waiter what we wanted. After a few minutes we got our food. It was really fast. My burger looked big I was so happy the burger was filled with aioli. My dad was taking photos of the food for his story. I get mad when he does that. I took a bite. It was so good I loved it. My little brother got fish and chips, Giovanna got waffles. We all started to eat Giovanna’s one looked so good.

Paragraph 3
When we finished eating my mum paid for the food then we all went to the park. We saw the fawnten it was so big I was playing badminton with my mum. I like badminton because my dad was the captain of his school’s team and he got lots of medals. When my mum had enough of badminton I went to go play in the sand. Then Giovanna and Estefan went to the fawnten so we moved our stuff to the chairs at the fawnten. Then Giovanna asked if we could swim in it. Our dad said yes but I didn’t want to swim in dirty water so I asked if we could go to the pools. Our mum took us there and it was a fun day.

Conclusion
My day was so fun I was happy that we got to go to a restaurant. I was really full after I ate. I can’t wait till I go to another restaurant. Thank you for reading

Recount: My Journey to School

Introduction
In the morning on Wednesday last term we were walking to school. We had a journey to school. Me (Victory) My Dad, Giovanna and My little brother Estefan. We had to walk to school because the car wasn’t working. We were surprised that we had to walk to school.

Paragraph 1
In the morning last term our mum woke us up. When I finally woke up I got down from my bunk bed. Giovanna said that we should go down stairs to go eat. Then we got changed and walked down stairs to the kitchen. I made myself a milo, it was very hot. I was warm when I finished it then I grabbed my chromebook from upstairs then did my hair in the mirror. It took me a long time to do my hair. After I did my hair I went upstairs to brush my teeth and wash my face. I washed my face with cold water then I ran to get a towel. Next I made my lunch then my mum had to go work so Me, Giovanna and Estefan said “goodbye.” Then our mum hugged us goodbye. After that we went outside to go in the car. My dad had to drop us off so my mum could go early because my mum works at Ottahuhu College.

Paragraph 2
When we went outside we turned on the car then the car wasn’t working. It made a weird sound and it didn’t sound good. So we had to grab the stroller for our little brother Estefan. We started walking in two minutes so after two minutes we started walking. Lucky for us we live close to school so we were walking a short way. My Dad had to walk with us to school because he did not trust us walking alone. I could hear the wind, the construction workers. I could see people crossing the road, I could also see people walking to the bakery. On the way I was touching the trees and the leaves were easy to rip apart. When we were crossing the road to school we had to drop off our little brother at Point England kids then we went to school.

Paragraph 3
When we got to school I was trying to look for my friends so I could play with them. I saw Caylee in the breeze so I hugged her and we started walking again but we started walking around the school. We tried to find our other friends then we went back to the bay. After we got to the bay we saw our other friends’ bags. I was so happy when I saw my other friend’s bags. We were trying to look for my friends then I saw them, we hugged each other and we all went to find a ball. We started playing volleyball in the bay. It was fun, then the bell rang and we got to go inside and play cards. I was happy that I got to school and we got to play different games and my friends were there.

Conclusion
I was happy that I got to school and saw my friends. I was also surprised that the car wasn’t working. The happy part was when I got to talk with Giovanna and we had a little adventure together. My legs started to hurt when I was walking.

A Time that I did Well

Introduction
Last year at school on a Friday we had an assembly. The whole school came outside for it. The assembly was about getting my medal and going up on stage.

Beginning
Last year on Friday we had an assembly. We said the Karakia and the one of the prefects said the Mihi. After that we sang the National Anthem. The assembly was about getting awards and giving out certificates. It was also about how good you were throughout the year. I heard some of my friends’ names and I cheered as loud as I could. They talked about the summer learning journey at our assembly last year. I did some of it on the holidays then the prefects were talking to Mr Burt to see what was next. They kept on talking on the side and then they were going to do certificates for the people doing sporty bots. The whole school got to see the amazing people who did sporty bots. They were given their certificates. Then Mr Burt said, ‘‘give them a big hand a big clap and a round of applause.’’

Middle
The last medal of the assembly was for Maths Whizz. The Maths Whizz medals were for the people who came first,second and third out of the whole school. I was excited for the people getting on stage I thought it wasn’t going to be me. Then Mr Burt was saying were to come up on the stage. He was showing the medals then he said ‘‘Lets get started.’’ I was listening very carefully. He started with third place and it was me! I was so happy and shocked that my name was called. I couldn’t believe what I hear it was so crazy. I was so proud of myself when I got up on the stage. After that he called the person in second place. Then Mr Burt called the first place everyone was clapping for the person in first place. Then when we went of the stage all the students started clapping for us on stage. When I sat back down my friends were happy for me they were saying ‘‘good job!’’

End
When we got back from the Assembly I showed Mrs Moala my award. She said “well done Victory” Then she said “you should make a blog post about your medal and why you got it.” So I went outside to take a photo and I was so proud of myself. My Task Description was about how I got it, why I got it, how I felt when I got my medal. So I started like this. Today at assembly I got a medal, I got it for being third place in Maths Whizz. I was surprised because I thought that I wasn’t going to get it. I got it because I was going on Maths Whizz everyday and I got my three progressions and three gems. After I wrote all of what I wanted to say I said Thank you for reading my task description. I hope you liked it and leave a comment. After I added my Title then I pressed publish. Then I went back to class and put my medal in my bag then went back to finish off my tasks.

Conclusion
When I got my medal I felt surprised because I thought that I wasn’t going to get it. I was happy that I got it. I couldn’t wait to show my parents. When I heard my name I was so happy I couldn’t believe it. I thought they made a mistake.

Immersion Recount T4

Introduction
In the morning we had an immersion assembly in the hall at Pt England school. The teachers of every team were talking about what their students were going to learn in class. It started from team 1 to team 4. An immersion assembly is when the teachers make a movie or do a play of what the students of Pt England school are going to be doing and learning in class. An Immersion assembly is when all the teams come together and the teachers say what all of the teams are going to be learning.

Team 1
The first movie that we saw was about the teachers of team one being bored having nothing to do. Then Mrs Hockly was looking through a cook book and she said ‘‘why don’t we make cheese scones from this cook book’’. Everyone of the teachers agreed so Mrs Lal and Ms Cortez were making the scones they put in some cheese and half a cup of milk. They started mixing it and then they put it in the oven. Then Mrs Lal said team work makes the dream work now its time to clean. Mrs Hockly started washing the dishes. She made a beat with the tap then Mrs Lal started sweeping the floor and made a beat too. After that Mrs Shirley came with a jar of beads and shaking them then Mrs Sortez came with two pots banging them together. Then the movies finished. Team 1 is learning about how to make music with different things and they don’t have to have instruments. They are also learning to have fun with the things that they are using I liked this movie because I got to hear them backing a song out of different things and they got to have fun

Team 2
The next one was team 2, they did a movie about the song going with the acting to show the emotion that they are feeling. The first one was when Mrs Simonds was running there was serious music when she was running. The next one was when there was nervous music and Mrs Teleso was opening a mysterious chest and it was glowing. The next one was when they were climbing the tree and it was happy music. The last one is when the dad made coffee, and Mrs Wilson asked if the coffee was pressed or something else the dad said yes that was nervous music. Team 2 is learning that when you do something music can change the mood of what you’re doing. It can also help say what the mood is that you are feeling if it doesn’t say it in the song. My favourite part of the song is when Mrs Wilson asked if the coffee was pressed or something else and the dad said yes. That was kind of scary how the music was and how her face was so confused.

Team 3
The third one was team 3, they did a cup song and they made different sounds with the cups. They were in Ms Scanlan’s room on a table. First Mrs Moala started, she tapped the cup then the table and did it again then she gave the cup to Ms Scanlan and She got herself a cup then they both did it. After that Ms Scanlan gave the cup to Mrs Walker and then Mrs Moala gave a cup to Ms Scanlan then got her a cup then they did it all together again. Then Mrs Walker gave the cup to Mrs Sio then Ms Scanlan gave a cup to Mrs Walker, Mrs Moala gave a cup to Ms Scanlan then Mrs Moala got a cup for herself. They kept on doing different beats with the cups, the table and their hands. Then at the end of the movie they zoomed into Ms Scanlan’s face. They took and hour trying to learn that cup song. My favourite part is when they did the first cup song it sounded really good and I was moving my head to it.
Team 4
The second to last one is team 4, they made a movie about how teachers feel throughout the day with music. The first one is when they were in a group and the teacher was singing ‘‘why’’Because they weren’t listening and didn’t understand when the teacher was talking about the book. The next one was when it was time for morning tea and they were telling them to get out of the classroom. The other one was when it was the end of the day and they sang ‘‘I’m like a bird I’ll only fly away I don’t know where my soul is I don’t Know where my home is’’. It was a good song and they were acting like they were flying away to go home. My favourite part of the movie was when they sang the song ‘‘I’m like a bird I’ll only fly away I don’t know where my soul is I don’t know where my home is. I liked that song.

Team 5
The last but not the least is team 5, they did a play on the school stage about if the students are smarter than the teachers. They got 4 teachers on one side of a desk and 4 year 7 and 8 on the other of the stage. The host names were Mr Wiblywobly ( Mr Wismen ) and the other one was named Ponelepy ( Mr Moran ) He or she was wearing a pink wig and a dress with different colours. They made a game that was going to be a country’s music and they had to guess what country it was and they had to get a buzzer. The Year seven and eight buzzer was a piece from a drum that they had to bang with a wooden drum stick. The teachers had a squeezy chicken the first question came and the teachers got the answer then the next one is when the students hit the steel plate and it went like
‘‘ ddddiiiiiinnnnnnggggg’’ and they got the answer, then there were more and more questions. After that there was one last question: the students got it right and the students won. They were cheering and it was almost a tie at the end. I like this because the play was all about guessing the country and I liked seeing the guess what the sound was.

Conclusion
This term I am looking forward to singing new songs, learning more things about music and making a song about school. The thing that I am most excited for is learning the different elements of music so I can memorise all of the Elements to make my song that I have to write for Creative Space. I think music will help me focus, learn more things and have more fun throughout the term. This was my Immersion assembly this term and I hoped you liked what I wrote about it.
